About The Esther School

The Esther School will equip the orphaned and under-resourced children of Chongwe, Zambia to serve God, their families, and their communities to their fullest potential. By addressing the educational, emotional, and spiritual needs of students, The Esther School

will prepare them to overcome the tormenting cycles of poverty and overwhelming lack of resources they face every day.

Our Mission is to provide a holistic, Christian education that develops the passion and skills students need to become servant leaders.

Our Vision is to build a thriving community of faithful and skillful servant leaders aided by the development of strong and mutually edifying partnerships between parents, community members, and Christ-followers from other countries around the world.

Students will learn to see themselves as caretakers of God’s world. They will learn:

  • Natural resource management
  • Sustainable agriculture
  • Animal husbandry
  • Environmental conservation
  • Rural micro-enterprise
  • Vocational skills
  • A biblical worldview

The Esther School will become self-sustaining and will:

  • Utilize solar power
  • Reuse waste water for irrigation
  • Include gardens and orchards
  • House barns for raising chickens, cows, and goats

Children attending the school will learn about and become responsible for many of these components.
